Amid nationwide outrage over repeated examination paper leaks and growing student protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that the Central Government will establish fast-track courts to ensure swift trials and strict punishment for those involved in paper leak cases.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister emphasized that the welfare and future of India’s youth remain the government’s highest priority.
“Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth! We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.”
Government’s Response to Paper Leak Controversy
The announcement comes as students across the country continue to demand accountability over alleged examination irregularities, particularly following the NEET-UG paper leak controversy. The government says the fast-track courts are intended to accelerate legal proceedings and ensure that individuals responsible for compromising examination integrity face timely justice.
According to the Prime Minister, concerned authorities have already been directed to initiate all necessary steps for implementing the decision.
