A Huge Investment in Energy Infrastructure
The refinery-petrochemical complex is a deal. Developed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Rajasthan state government the project cost over Rs 79,450 crore. When its fully operational it will refine 9 million tonnes of crude oil every year and produce 2.4 million metric tonnes of petrochemicals annually. This complex is Indias greenfield” facility of its kind built from scratch on unused land. It will help reduce logistics costs and strengthen Indias self-reliance in petrochemical derivatives.
The complex will produce petrochemical products. These products are used in industries. The Prime Minister will see the complexs units. He will learn about the complexs safety features.
Jaipur Metro Gets a Big Boost
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for Phase-II of the Jaipur Metro project. This project will cost over Rs 13,000 crore. The new phase will cover 41 kilometres. Have 36 stations. It will ease traffic congestion. Provide a modern public transport option for commuters.
Railways and Roads Get Attention
The Prime Minister will dedicate two railway projects to the nation. These projects will improve train frequency. Reduce travel time in the region. He will also inaugurate the Jodhpur Ring Road section. This road project cost around Rs 740 crore. It will reduce traffic congestion around Jodhpur city.
Green Energy Push with Two Major Solar Projects
Renewable energy is also on the agenda. PM Modi will dedicate two projects to the nation. One project is the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Project. The other is the 300 MW Karnisar Solar Project. These projects will add to Rajasthans energy capacity.
Jobs for Thousands of Youth
The event is also important for employment in Rajasthan. The Prime Minister will give appointment letters to 54,000 recruited candidates. They were selected for Rajasthan government departments. This move is expected to boost employment in the state.
Earlier in the Day: Jodhpur Airport and UDAN Scheme
Before visiting Balotra PM Modi inaugurated the terminal building at Jodhpur Airport. He also launched a modified version of the UDAN scheme. The new terminal building spans 23,000 metres. It can handle 2 million passengers annually. The government has allocated Rs 28,840 crore for the revamped UDAN scheme.
