THDC India Limited was separately honoured as the second-highest taxpayer in the state at the same event. The recognition reflects UJVNL’s strong financial performance and commitment to transparent governance.

Managing Director Ajay Kumar Singh said the achievement is the result of UJVNL’s sound financial position and disciplined financial management. He said the corporation has consistently remained profitable while maintaining high standards of financial governance and continues to make a significant contribution to the development of Uttarakhand.

A substantial income tax payment by a public sector enterprise is widely regarded as an indicator of financial strength and operational efficiency. UJVNL’s ₹124 crore income tax contribution highlights its strong financial performance and its role in Uttarakhand’s power and energy sector, supporting the state’s revenue generation and development initiatives.

UJVNL’s emergence as Uttarakhand’s largest corporate taxpayer is both a financial milestone and a reflection of the corporation’s transparency, efficient management, and sustained profitability, setting a benchmark for other public sector enterprises in the state.
